Some people say that it is not that important what religion or book they follow, as long as they are good peaceful people. The point that I am so hard stressing on Islam and Qur'an however, is bec I believe it is the ultimate unchanged word of God. Different from other books which are written and inspired by man and in which they found mistakes and contradictions.

in the Qur’an that do quite explicitly say that the Children of Israel were the
Chosen People of God. Let us look at a

Qur'an 2:47, "O Children of Israel! Call to mind My favour
which I bestowed on you and that I preferred you to all others (for my

Qur'an 3:33, "Allah did choose Adam and Noah, the family of
Abraham, and the family of 'Imran (Maryam's father) above all
people."
Qur'an 5.020: "Remember Moses said to his people: "O my
people! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, when He produced
prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any
other among the peoples."

What does it mean to be the “chosen people”? And what does it mean from the Islamic
perspective? It means that from the 70
nations of the world, God chose the Children of Israel (Jacob) to give the
Covenant of the Torah. It also says in
Deuteronomy 28 that if they followed this covenant, they would be blessed. So it was a
conditional covenant. It means that if you
CHOOSE to follow the covenant of the Torah, then you are the Chosen of God. So essentially what it means is that the
nation of Israel was chosen for the covenant of the Torah, but if an Israelite
(Jew) does not abide by that covenant, then there is nothing chosen about that
individual. It is the nation that was
chosen. It is up to the individual to
choose to follow the covenant and be blessed or ignore the covenant.
It is the same with
Islam. Just because you are born of
Muslim parents, does not make you the beloved of Allah, you have to choose to
follow the Covenant of the Qur’an to be the beloved of Allah:
So then what happened??
Actually the Lord turned against them bec of their eternal stubbornness, breaking of the covenants and killing of the prophets!
No race, color or gender are chosen by GOD Almighty in Islam. Everyone is evaluated by his Good Deeds.
Allah Almighty Said in the Noble Quran:
"O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other. Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well-acquainted. (The Noble Quran, 49:13)"
Muslims believe that the idea of "Chosen People" is a Jewish lie that was fabricated and inserted into the Bible to make the People of Israel be the Superior over all nations. The Bible, however, admits that it got corrupted by the Jews themselves,

See Also Deuteronomy 31:25-29 where Moses peace be upon him predicted the corruption/tampering of the Law (Bible) after his death. The Book of Moses predicted that the Law (Bible) will get corrupted. The Book of Jeremiah which came approximately 826 years after did indeed confirm this corruption.
